Winmau continue their launch season with the release of the new Gian van Veen darts range, marking the young star’s first signature collection with the brand. The new range includes the W-MAX, TS Pro, TS, and CORE models, giving players a variety of barrel designs and price points to choose from.
Alongside the new darts, Winmau have also launched the Autodarts X automatic scoring system, bringing the brand fully into the auto scoring market. The system features integrated 360 degree lighting, combining scoring technology and board illumination in one complete setup.
The New Gian Van Veen Winmau Collection
Gian Van Veen receives a major new Winmau collection, with five different levels across the range giving players several ways to experience his latest equipment. The Dutch star’s new line covers a wide variety of barrel options, from an affordable brass model right through to the W-MAX.
Whether you are a Van Veen fan or simply looking for a new set of darts, the collection offers options across a range of budgets and playing levels, making it one of the most varied player launches in the Winmau range.
Gian Van Veen W-MAX
Gian Van Veen W-MAX sits at the premium end of the new collection, aimed at players looking for a high performance setup. The steel tip model is available in 22g, 23g, and 24g, giving players a good choice of weights across the range.
The darts come fitted with GVV Fusion No.2, alongside 45mm silver Switch Points. Also included in the box are a spare set of 45mm GVV gold Switch Points, a Switch Point tool, standard flights, and black and silver Intermediate Vector shafts. This gives players plenty of options to customise the setup straight out of the box and experiment with different flight, shaft, and point combinations.
Gian Van Veen TS-PRO
This 90% tungsten barrel is available in 21g, 22g, and 23g, giving players a good choice of weights across the range. In the box, the GVV TS-PRO come fitted with 45mm GVV Silver Switch Points and Black Fusion No.2 Short integrated flights and shafts.
A Switch Point tool is also included, making it quick and easy to change the points whenever you want to experiment with a different length or style. The barrel itself features intricate milling throughout, helping to create a grippy feel while maintaining a sleek and modern design. The overall setup is focused on delivering control and consistency, making it a strong option for players looking for a reliable and well balanced dart.
Gian van Veen TS
The GVV TS once again features a 90% tungsten barrel and is available in 23g, 24g, and 25g. The straight barrel uses radial grooves throughout, with additional micro grip detailing across the rings to give players clear grip points along the full length of the barrel.
The darts also come supplied with smooth 40mm Switch Points and a Switch Point tool in the box. This makes it quick and easy to change the points if you want to experiment with a different length or grip style without needing a traditional repointing tool.
Gian Van Veen Core
Completing the new Gian Van Veen collection with Winmau is the Gian Van Veen Core, designed as an accessible starting point for players who are trying darts for the first time. The 21g brass barrels offer a more affordable way to get into the game without committing straight away to a premium tungsten setup.
For beginners or casual players, the Core range is a practical option for learning the basics, experimenting with grip and throwing style, and deciding whether they want to invest in higher level equipment later on.

Alongside the release of the new Gian Van Veen collection, Winmau are also launching the brand new Autodarts X, their own automatic scoring system designed to compete with other auto scorers on the market.
The Autodarts X uses the AutoDarts app to record and track scores, while the cameras positioned around the board detect where each dart lands. Integrated lighting helps keep the board clearly illuminated, allowing the system to accurately recognise your score each time you step up to the oche. This gives players a simple way to enjoy automatic scoring for practice, matches, and online play from their home setup.
How Does Autodarts X Work
Winmau Autodarts X uses four HD cameras positioned around the board to automatically detect where each dart lands and record the score without the need for manual entry. With cameras covering multiple angles, the system is designed to recognise darts even when they land at awkward or difficult to judge positions on the board.
The system is also designed for a drill free setup, using magnetic legs to secure it around the dartboard. This makes installation much easier and also allows players to put the system up or take it down without having to permanently fix it to the wall.
What Comes with Autodarts X?
The Winmau Autodarts X package includes everything you need to get the system mounted, powered, and ready to use straight out of the box. Inside, you get the Autodarts X unit itself with four cameras and integrated lighting, alongside a wall and stand mounting kit, USB C power cable, and a quick start guide.
The package also includes a three month Autodarts Plus membership card, giving you access to the full capabilities of the Autodarts app as soon as you set the system up. Having the membership included at no extra cost for the first three months is a useful addition and allows players to get the complete experience from day one.
Autodarts X Size and Setup
Despite combining automatic scoring cameras and integrated lighting into one system, Winmau Autodarts X is designed as a single complete unit that fits neatly around the dartboard. It is also relatively easy to lift into place, weighing around 2.5kg, which is roughly comparable to a standard bag of potatoes. This means it is not excessively heavy or difficult to handle when installing or removing it from your setup.
