About Beau Greaves

Beau Greaves has established herself as one of the brightest talents in professional darts and is one of the most successful players ever to emerge from the women's game. Growing up in Doncaster, Beau originally dreamed of becoming a painter and decorator, but her remarkable ability on the dartboard soon turned darts into a full time career.

Darts has always played a huge role in Beau's life. Her father, grandfather, brother and aunt all played socially, with her brother being the first to recognise her exceptional talent. By the age of 10 she was already competing in pub league darts, although some venues refused to let her play because of her age. She later progressed into county darts and quickly showed she was destined for much bigger things.

Despite her obvious talent, Beau never initially viewed darts as a realistic career because there was very little money in the women's game while she was growing up. The introduction of the PDC Women's Series transformed those opportunities, allowing Beau to become a full time professional. Since then she has won more than 100 professional matches consecutively and claimed three successive WDF Women's World Championship titles, establishing herself as one of the greatest players in women's darts.

Beau also met Michael van Gerwen as a young player, who advised her to enjoy playing darts above everything else. It is advice she has continued to follow throughout her career and now passes on to young players beginning their own journey in the sport.

What Darts Does Beau Greaves Use?

Beau Greaves currently throws her Generation 1 Target Darts in a 23g weight. Her setup features custom 43mm Swiss Points, having previously used longer 50mm points before making the change.

The barrel features a simple straight profile with a tapered nose, combining precision machining at the front with a traditional single ring grip towards the rear. Beau completes her setup with a No.2 Intermediate Target K Flex system, creating a durable and highly consistent combination that perfectly matches her straightforward approach to the game.

One of the defining features of Beau’s setup is how closely it matches her throwing style. She grips the darts with one finger on the point while the remaining fingers are spread across the barrel before drawing the dart smoothly back towards her cheek. Even after overcoming dartitis, Beau retained the same throwing action despite changing her grip, a testament to the consistency that has helped make her one of the finest players in the modern game.
